Color Wave is a mobile puzzle game published by Maxime Joassy, established in France. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Color Wave.
Color Wave does not require a user account and does not ask you to provide your name, postal address, phone number, contacts, or precise location.
The app stores the following information locally on your device:
Gameplay progress and the interstitial counter are not transmitted to Maxime Joassy or stored on his servers. Local information remains on your device until you clear the app’s data or uninstall the app. Depending on your operating system settings, it may be included in backups managed by your device or cloud provider. Maxime Joassy does not have access to those backups.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message and use them to respond to your request.
Color Wave uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used and to improve the game. Analytics collection is disabled by default. On first launch, the app asks whether you agree to audience measurement. No Analytics data is collected by Color Wave unless you accept.
When Analytics is enabled, the Firebase Analytics SDK may automatically collect and send information to Google, including:
Color Wave does not send your name, email address, gameplay grids, or completed level identifiers to Firebase Analytics and does not set a user ID or custom user properties.
You can enable or disable Analytics at any time in Color Wave’s privacy settings. If you disable it, the app stops Analytics collection and asks the SDK to reset Analytics data and the app-instance identifier stored on the device. This does not necessarily delete information that Google previously processed, including aggregated information. Google handles that information according to its terms and retention settings.
For more information, see:
Color Wave uses Google Mobile Ads, also known as AdMob, to display banner and interstitial advertisements. The app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request updated advertising privacy information at each launch, show a privacy message when required, and determine whether advertisements may be requested. Color Wave does not request an advertisement unless Google’s SDK indicates that advertising is permitted.
Depending on your location, applicable law, age-related requirements, and the choices available in Google’s privacy message, Google may serve personalized, non-personalized, or limited advertisements. You can reopen Google’s privacy options from Color Wave’s privacy settings whenever Google requires that option to be available.
When an advertisement is requested or displayed, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and share information with Google, including:
Google uses this information to provide and measure advertisements, manage ad frequency, maintain security, and prevent fraud and abuse. Google states that information collected by its Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS.
For more information, see:
The target audience of Color Wave includes children under the age of 13. Color Wave does not provide account creation, chat, or public posting features and does not knowingly ask children to submit personal information.
Advertising for users treated as children or as under the applicable age of consent is subject to Google’s age-related restrictions. These restrictions may limit ad personalization, identifiers, and third-party ad vendors. A parent or guardian should review and make the privacy choices presented in the app for a child who cannot legally make those choices.
If you believe that a child has sent personal information to us by email, please contact us so that we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Local gameplay information is used only to save game progress and manage advertisement timing.
Firebase Analytics is used for audience measurement and improvement of the app only after you consent. You may withdraw that consent at any time in the app’s privacy settings without affecting the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Advertising helps fund the availability of Color Wave. Google Mobile Ads uses information for ad delivery, measurement, frequency management, security, and fraud prevention. Where applicable law requires consent before advertising technologies access or store information on a device, Color Wave relies on Google’s UMP flow and does not request advertisements until the Google SDK indicates that it may do so. Google describes the legal bases it relies upon in its own Privacy Policy.
Color Wave shares Analytics information with Google only when Analytics has been enabled. It also shares information with Google through the Google Mobile Ads SDK when advertisements are permitted and requested, as described above.
Maxime Joassy does not operate a backend that receives gameplay progress and does not use an independent crash-reporting service in Color Wave.
Local gameplay information and privacy choices remain on your device until you clear Color Wave’s app data or uninstall the app. Maxime Joassy does not retain a server-side copy of that information.
Google determines the retention periods for information processed through Firebase Analytics, Google Mobile Ads, and UMP. Google Analytics retention settings apply to user-level and event-level data, while some aggregated reports may be retained for longer. Please consult Google’s policies for current retention practices and controls.
Disabling Analytics in Color Wave stops future Analytics collection and resets Analytics data stored by the SDK on the device. You may also clear all local app data by using your operating system settings or uninstalling the app.
Google may process information on servers located outside your country. The safeguards used by Google for international transfers are described in Google’s Privacy Policy and applicable data-processing terms.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent.
You can manage Firebase Analytics and, when required, Google advertising privacy choices from Color Wave’s privacy settings. Because gameplay information is stored locally, you can delete it by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling Color Wave.
For information processed by Google, you can use Google’s privacy and advertising controls or contact Google as described in its Privacy Policy.
For questions or requests relating to Color Wave, contact support@color-wave.fr.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In France, the relevant authority is the CNIL.
Color Wave limits its own storage to the local information described above. Google states that information collected by Firebase and the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted while being transmitted.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
This Privacy Policy may be updated if Color Wave’s features, service providers, or legal obligations change. When it is updated, the effective date shown at the top will also be updated. If a change requires a new consent choice, the app may ask you to make that choice again.
